Im looking for a long-lasting lip gloss, one that will stay on for atleast a couple hours without giving me any weird residue or anything. I need a light pink shade. It can be any brand :) as long as it works!Best long-lasting pink lip gloss?
I've found Mac Lipgelee in Slicked Pink has lasted ages for me :) But I've heard that if you want long lasting it's best to look out for products that are lipglass or lip lacquer, as they are more thicker and hence longer lasting. But they are quite sticky, so definitely make sure you exfoliate your lips beforehand! Otherwise, I've also found Napoleon Perids Lip Lacquers, Mac Tinted Lipglass and Clinique Long Last Glosswear to last ages too =DBest long-lasting pink lip gloss?

My personal favorite is from Neutrogena. They have a particular shade called ';Champagne'; that I think you might like as well! I just put down a base, like chapstick or lip balm, and then apply the lip gloss over it. Having the base underneath makes it stay longer!

MAC and Bobbi Brown lip gloss worked the best for me. They lasted much longer than any other did.

in my case, my lips are forsome reason the same shade of brown as my lips so what i do to make it look like i HAVE lips is put some lip color and dab the excess off w/ a tissue and just put chapstick over it. i try to make it look as natural as possible. i agree. lip gloss is too much for everyday use.
You don't have to wear lipgloss if you dont like it. I am obsessed with it and couldn't imagine not liking it but it doesnt make you a bad person. I use glow baby glow from avon and its the best ever. A lot of girls look better in matte lipstick. Some people just can't pull off shiny lips.

dont worry if everyone else wears or does something. you are who you are and you need to do what makes you feel good. I dont wear any make up. Partly becuase I'm too busy to wear any, but also because it feel like I'm a plaster cast of some thing. So don't worry, you shouldn't have to be uncomfortable to fit it. And you don't have to, plus I think lip gloss is kinda a little girls thing. All the little 8-10 year olds wear it at the daycare I work at and none of the staff do (all women).

I heard that someone was going to start making Glossip Girl Lip Gloss into four flavors (for each character of ';The Clique';) but I don't know where to get it.Glossip Girl Lip Gloss?

My grandma loves Covergirl outlast lipgloss, they come in such pretty colors and they last through eating food, plus when she wears them it really makes all the lines on her lips disappear almost like it it has anti aging in it! She has like 12 of them :-)

I just ordered some stuff from Avon called ';Luster Glow Lip Shine'; and it's great! It comes in several flavors(I have raspberry and lime) and it has all the benefits of a lip balm. I've also heard ';mark.'; makes some good lip gloss and that can be ordered thru Avon also(no, I'm not an Avon rep!!:-)) but I haven't tried that....good luck!:-) Good lip glosses are hard to find.....

How to made Cranberry lip gloss recipe at home? Some easy to make homemade recipes for you:


1) Take - 1 tablespoon almond oil, 10 fresh cranberries, 1 teaspoon honey and 1 teaspoon petroleum jelly (optional - for more shine).





Mix together all ingredients and place in a microwave or heat-resistant container. Heat in the microwave or a water bath until the mixture just begins to boil (1-2 minutes in the microwave). Stir well and gently mash the berries. Let sit for 5 minutes.





Strain the mixture through a fine sieve to remove all pieces of cranberry. Stir and allow to cool completely. When cool, spoon into a clean container.





To use: Spread a small amount onto your lips.

Laura Mercier has the best foundation (rated number one for over 5 years in a row by In Style magazine) and while it costs a bit more than Maybelline it is such a great product and it is super concentrated so you don't use much of it. Most lipgloss is super sticky but I find MAC lipglass to be my favorite. Steer clear of their lipglasses in the squeeze tube because they are super sticky but the ones that come with an applicator are better. Also Laura Mercier's Amber Rose Glace' is a fabulous shade and you can put it over any shade of lipstick for an awesome lookHelp!!! i need a good foundation and lip gloss not 2 sticky!!!!?
My favourite foundation at the moment is Rimmel's Lasting Finish. It gives me a nice clear complexion and lasts all day. I seriously didn't think that I was going to find a fantastic foundation for such a cheap price.





For a non sticky lipgloss I would recommend Cargo. They come in these huge pans, you can either get two or four colours in each pan and they last a really long time. Just keep in mind that when a lip gloss is sticky its going to last a lot longer on your lips.

For foundation go for maxfactor lasting proformance. Its very good and lasts all day. It gives good coverage but doesnt look too 'made up'.





As for lip gloss DEFINATLY go for maxfactor silk gloss... its the best lip gloss ever (and believe me ive tried loads) its not sticky at all - you know how lip balm feels? its exactly like that on your lips, sorta of smooth and soft yet it looks like a lip gloss... its really good!

I wear lip gloss. I like clear gloss with casual outfits. But coloured gloss for work and dressing up. I'm not a lipstick fan at all, a lot of them taste like perfume, and dry my lips. I also like tinted lip balms. Oddly, the most compliments and ';who makes your lip colour'; questions from women, happen when I wear-of all things... ';Dr Pepper Lip Smacker'; by Bonne Bell, tinted lip balm.
Chapstick, i use nivea lip care (strawberry). it smells nice, has a bit of colour and prevents my lips from being dry.





I dont really like lip gloss but wear it occasionally. I think its a bit shiney

I don't know much about women cosmetics but if that is the stuff that makes your lips look shinny but adds no cooler then no I don't like it. I think it makes women look like they are 14 or 16. I prefer something that would make her look more like she is 20 and above.
I don't think it's a crucial thing for guys...I like lipgloss though, and I'm a girl, I reapply it all throughout the day.

Big red lips are attractive (Marilyn for instance) but if you seriously want your lips to be smaller, you can do that by painting inside the line of your lips or painting them on smaller than they really are and cover the rest with foundation.
Lip Gloss works best:)
you should use a brown lip liner and very light coat dark red lip gloss or lip stick
Try lip liners. Ttrry a darker lip liner, then fill your lips with a light lipstick. Tht way your lips will stand out, but not with just full red lips. Lip gloss just makes your lips look shiny and big.
You can use lip liner. But, try not to emphasize the bigger lip (whether the upper or lower lip). Do not draw the line at the exact edge of your bigger lip, just make it narrow to make it look thin. Then start putting your desired lip color inside the line. For the uncovered part of your lip, just put pressed powder or foundation to make it look like it's part of your skin.
You should try the Lipshine in Cherub. It is a red gloss but it is sheer so not too red. It is made by Bee-Luscious and you can find it at beeroyalproducts.com.
Use a darker color on your lips...not bright red and a maroon would probably look pretty good to....
Lipstick is more mature looking. If I were you, i would flaunt my big lips, not try to hide it. I just usually use Burt's Bees chapstick.
Find a lipstick with NO shine no sparkle no nothing and avoid the liner. Put chapstick on over the lipstick when ur done.
a very moist chapstick. i love it!! i have big lips too so putting on lipstick or gloss isnt even an option, but using the chapstick just sets them off somehow. theyre silkysmooth and have cute shine to them.
a tinted chap-stick. it won't make your lips look even bigger, if that what you're concerned about, and it is very portable, cheap, and lasts long.
I think you should use more neutral colors ...to me that looks really good
well to make them appear smaller try not using gloss because that makes them appear 3-D thus adding volume.








Try a matte lipstick and don't line them. and look for blue undertones so you don't look like a tomatoe
Try a more matte formula lipstick. Using gloss just reflects lights and visually plumps lips. Go for a moisturizing lipstick formula with just a bit of sheen. Also, try to get a bit more understated red (not the brightest fire engine red) so lips don't jump out so much.





Another option is a stain. You can buy one for your lips, like Revlon just bitten. Or you can do your own by patting lipstick on lips, then wiping excess off with finger. This method will color your lips without adding any additional shine or dimension that may make your lips appear fuller.
I would use a darker red lip liner. Line your lips then use a gloss to blend it all together like a lip stain. It will give you some color, but not as intense as using lip stick by itself. =)

I'd say you look fine without. ^_^





But if you wanted to get dressy for a night out, you could try some dark smoky browns or deep purples (shadow and liner) on your eyes -- hard to describe what color lipstick, since 'red' has so many different shades. However, you look like you might have a Warm skin tone (i.e, with gold or yellow undertones) ...so any lip color you choose, make sure it isn't a bluey-red or too plummy. You have gorgeous eyes, play those up!





For an everyday 'natural' look, I might suggest some earthtones, with light spicy browns, peaches (esp. for blush) and taupes. I wouldn't do a hard black eyeliner, that would be too harsh IMO (unless you're Goth.) I'd use a brown pencil. If you are going to go heavy on the eyes, maybe just use a sheer nude or tinted lipgloss. Bath and Body Works has some nice sheers with SPF. :-)

so if you choose red lipstick keep the rest of ur makeup, mascara, eyeliner, foundation, concealer, powder, bronzer and blush all on the down low.

Believe it or not, Lip Vitamins lip gloss. A friend of mine just gave me some for Christmas, I always thought it was one of those crappy no name brands, but when I tried it, I was impressed. It left my lips soft and very shinny and nowhere close to as sticky as the MAC cosmetics lip glass does. Even after it sits a while and starts to dry it still looks sexy. I love it.

Well........my bf notices when I wear it yeah. I don't wear make-up much, but I know that he likes it when I do cause he always comments on how pretty or beautiful I look. Anyways, I most always have something on my lips, like just a shield to keep out cold and stuff. Lip gloss works like that, and it gives your lips a little bit of color and shine. You can get only about 20,000,000 colors and flavors of lip gloss, so find one that matches you and try it for a week. I would reccommend Mary Kay Lip Gloss, since its made to be less glossy, and to go on smooth and stay on longer, but thats just what I wear. Try what you would like, just don't get those $0.10 flavor sticks at the gas station or whatever. Another is using vasoline to keep your lips soft and supple, but with minimal shine, and as we all aggree you need some shine just not enough to make it look like you just ate a thing of deep fried chicken. Its your choice though, so choose it as you will.

I was watching the Tyra Banks show the other day and she said that no one is supposed to know that you are wearing lip liner. I am a black girl who wears brown lip liner on top of clear lip gloss. I don't really like to wear alot of make-up, so I try to keep it really simple. Is this a make-up ';no-no';? Do any of you do this? Well good on you for experimenting with Lip-Liner. This look does sound pretty cool, because it could work with your skin tone, but I think you could improve it by wearing a brown coloured lip gloss over the top instead of clear.





Furthermore, another tip is to line your lips before you put anything over them. One idea is to line them in a colour the same as your lips, cover in lipstick and then clear gloss!

No it sounds fine to me but it may look more natural if you line your lips before you apply the clear gloss or a nude lip gloss always looks natural

I used to do this like 10 years ago when I was a freshman in high school. I look back at pictures and think... what was I doing? I should have listened to my mom when she told me it looked horrible. However, its a preference thing. If you like it.... and its your style, who is to tell you that its a no-no? I dont see anyone do this anymore, and I am sure that if you try new things out you will find something that is not so defined, yet still looks really good with your skin. If you like brown eyeliner, try a lipstick with a brown tone in it. If you like the clear look, try a nude liner. I think that would be your best bet! Good luck! Try new things out and see what you get the most compliments with!
This is a huge no-no. The last time I saw that was in the 90's. All you have to do is find a natural lip gloss. Try going to Sephora they have tons to choose from. Victoria's Secret also has some very pretty colors.

If you smudge and blend the line and then put some gloss on it, it's more subtle and flattering then a harsh, dark line with gloss on it. Or just filling in the entire lip first and then putting some gloss over it.





I remember seeing the dark liner and gloss look a lot in the 90s, but most of the time it was really, really dark purple or even blackish looking.

I think it depends on the person. I have very pale skin, so nude lips definitely wash me out. I prefer colored lipglosses and lipsticks, to add a little more color to my face! :) (Though I still stick with fairly natural colors, like soft pinks and peaches, which compliment my skintone without being so colorful that they're overpowering.)





Personally, I think most girls look best with a hint of color, instead of taking away the color with nude lips ... but that's just my opinion! Sometimes I do see a person that looks good with nude lips.

Go with light pink, for sure. I have around the same color skin as you do, and light pink will make your lips noticeable, but not too noticeable. Trust me! Hot pink will make you look like a circus clown, red is NOT for the tan-skinned, and clear w/ sparkles isn't nice enough. Light pink. Period.

I actually have a few favorite lip glosses. They are covergirl's amazemint lip gloss. It smells %26amp; feels great %26amp; i love the color. I also love E.L.F.'s super shiny lip gloss with spf 15 %26amp; E.L.F.'s candyshop lip tins. They are only $1.00 but are great!


My favorite lipstick is covergirl's tru shine lipstick. The colors are amazing!

The Mary Kate %26amp; Ashley brand at Walmart has an inexpensive, clear gloss that is not too sticky or slimy. I really like it as a stand alone or over color.

You should try clinique. Most of their lip glosses have a very light tint to it, they are very shiney and last a long time. They range anywhere from $12-15 but its definately worth the price. I love using the Raspberry Tint (02).

wet'n'wild in ';Clear'; is nice...it doesnt last terribly long, but its very shiny, and doesnt feel sticky, and goes on smooth. you can get it for about 1.90 usually!

Blistex came out with a sheer roll on chapstick. I bought it in bulk because it looks and goes on like sheer lipgloss and its cheap, maybe $3. You can go to Walgreens and get it. Its a grey and its under Blistex. It taste great too, like Vanilla!

Look in the Sally Hansen section of a drugstore or makeup store. I don't know what it's called, but it is clear and in a squeezable tube. If I bought it, I'm pretty sure it's cheap. And it IS SUPER shiny.

MAC has a ';gloss'; pencil liner that is pretty cool . .. slightly glossy but not sticky. Go to all the counters in the mall and try everything to see what you like. For my engagement pictures, I had a girl at the Mac counter do my makeup and it was fabulous. She used a Mac gloss lip liner %26amp; gloss, but the gloss itself was too sticky for my fiance's liking (although the pictures turned out to be amazing . . . I love Mac). For my wedding, I ended up using the gloss liner with a top coat of that clear watermelon lip smacker roller stuff, just because it gives shine and isn't sticky. (Bath %26amp; body works gloss, the green tube that makes your breath awesome, would also probably be a good option.) The lip smacker stuff, although it sounds way cheap for a wedding, was a great option with all the kissing that goes on. It's easy to wipe off, easy to reapply, and tastes great!
