Someone else was asking this too and it's not true. Most of the ingredients in cosmetics today have been tested, so they can't turn your lips black.
Not true !! Go here to get some really good lip gloss www.youravon.com/jmahan
Someone's pulling your leg. I used to know a bunch of old ladies who used lipstick and lip gloss most of their lives- and not a one of them had black lips.
I would look at this website. There are some products that have been shown to contain amounts of led. Unfortunately, it is true.
Check out The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics. Remember thought that just because a company is not listed, doesn't mean it has lead in it. However, they have listed some companies that have refused to sign the contract.
Avon in fact is listed as having refused to sign.
';The companies listed above have pledged to not use chemicals that are known or strongly suspected of causing cancer, mutation or birth defects in their products and to implement substitution plans that replace hazardous materials with safer alternatives in every market they serve. Several major cosmetics companies, including OPI, Avon, Estee Lauder, L'Oreal, Revlon, Proctor %26amp; Gamble and Unilever have thus far refused to sign the Compact for Safe Cosmetics.';
No,thats not true but this is:
Lipgloss [anykind] is made out of whale sperm.
%26amp;Doesn't look as good as people thinkkkk.
Not being rude,just it doesn't.
:]
